our roots

Butter & Blade is owned and operated by Samantha Paul. She is a private chef in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Samantha graduated from L' Academie de Cuisine's culinary program at the top of her class in 2015 and has worked in the restaurant industry for close to a decade. In addition, she worked with a pastry chef during her externship at L' Academie and discovered a love of baking. Samantha decided to combine her restaurant and culinary experience and bring the restaurant directly to her clients home.
